In a small town a great flood came and washed away a lot of homes and business, thankfully no one was hurt. The people where smart enough to gather on the higher ground when warned. Standing there on the highest hill in town, where a small girl and a brilliant red fox. The fox sat there looking off into the sunrise and the girl stood next to him playing with a flower. After a few minutes the fox came running down the hill towards me, he stopped and seemed to want to play. He rolled on his back, paws high in the air trying, to catch my fingers as I teased him. Suddenly he rolled over and stood up, stared at me with blank hazel eyes and started running in a playful manner around my feet. It seemed like he wanted to me to follow him or chase him. I hesitate for a minuet; I look back at the top of the hill. The girl is gone. She’d vanished and the fox was starting to fade as well, he continues to beg me to follow. So I let him lead. He leads me to the top of the hill, as we run I look onto the watery town, and see nothing but miles of clear blue water. The sun is now shining and the fox and I are half way up the hill. Once at the top of the hill I could see all there was too see, the now half visible fox sat there next to me, looked up and smiled. With that he vanished like a puff of smoke. Finally I was alone. Looking on to the submerged town, rooftops barely poking out of the water, this hill is the only thing that survives the flood. The people had already left the girl had vanished and the fox, disappeared without a trace. Now I stand tall waiting for my rescue.
